Coronavirus - How Teaching Online Has Helped Me Stay Focused and Positive

It's been a challenge, in many ways, this "social distancing".

At the start of March I lost my full-time job, and I felt like I was losing my business too. How can you continue to encourage people to stay fit and healthy when you can't see them twice a week?

Trying not to lose hope, I thought of live classes straight away, just like every other trainer out there did. I wasn't sure that it would be popular due to the nature of the classes. We always used equipment, played games and did group challenges - how would people react to body weight training and circuits?

I considered not going ahead with the idea - it was going to take time and planning, and if it didn't catch on it would probably have made me even more discouraged. Then I realised that it wasn't just about you guys staying fit and healthy, it was also about my health and fitness - both physical and mental. I needed this, since I didn't have anything else.

Thankfully, you guys supported me. I've had over 30 signups in the week and a half that I advertised, which is just awesome. It's kept my brain and body active and given me something to look forward to during the week.

It's also started me thinking about how my business could expand to the online space, and the potential opportunity to reach even more people and help them achieve their goals.

Some of the things you may see coming up soon are more diverse and interactive challenges through the GenkiFIT app, more free YouTube workouts, interactive live classes - and who knows what else I'll come up with in my free time!

If you haven't already joined, be sure to check out the 30 Day Fitness Challenge on the GenkiFIT app. I'll also be posting workouts to my Youtube channel like the one below.

I'm really starting to love doing online workouts, and I hope you guys are enjoying the classes I come up with.

Thank you for your support! See you all in person real soon.
